PROJECT UPDATE 🧱

We’re currently carrying out extensive brickwork restoration and repointing works on this property.

The existing mortar joints have been carefully raked out to the correct depth, removing the deteriorated material while taking care to protect the surrounding brickwork. The brickwork has then been thoroughly prepared ready for the next stage of the project — repointing. With the preparation now complete, we’re ready to begin applying the new mortar, restoring the joints and giving the property a clean, durable and professionally finished appearance.

Recently Completed | Driveway Entrance Pillar Rebuild

Another project successfully completed by J.D BRICKWORKS.

The existing driveway entrance pillar had become unstable and unsafe, so we carefully dismantled the structure and rebuilt it to provide the client with a safe, secure and structurally sound entrance. To keep the project cost effective for the client, we carefully salvaged and reused the existing bricks, retaining the original character and appearance while avoiding the unnecessary cost of sourcing replacement materials.

The rebuilt pillar was finished with attention to alignment, levels, jointing and detailing, creating a strong and professional finish that complements the existing boundary wall.

Works completed:
• Unsafe pillar carefully dismantled
• Existing bricks salvaged and reused
• Pillar rebuilt to improve safety and stability
• Existing character and appearance retained

Recently Completed | Bespoke Front Entrance Steps

Another project successfully completed by J.D BRICKWORKS.

The existing concrete step was carefully broken out and removed, allowing us to construct a completely new, bespoke entrance that complements the property. We selected a high quality sand faced red brick for the brickwork and paired it with Bradstone Edale Riven paving slabs in Cream, creating a warm and complementary contrast between the brickwork and paving. The new steps and landing have been built with attention to levels, alignment and detailing, resulting in a clean, durable and professional finish that significantly enhances the entrance to the property.
