A few recent jobs completed by the team at Wallace Tree Care 🌳

We recently removed a large spruce tree that had simply outgrown its location and was encroaching on overhead phone lines, along with a purple plum tree that was affected by a fungal infection, making removal the safest and most appropriate option.

Both trees were carefully dismantled and rigged down in sections to ensure they were removed safely, with no damage to the surrounding decking, phone lines or garden.

We also completed a large conifer clearance, removing a full row of conifer trees before grinding out every stump using our Predator 38RX stump grinder. All grindings were removed from site, leaving the area level and ready for the customer to seed over.

A look at just a few of the jobs we’ve completed over the past couple of busy weeks! 🌳

One customer contacted us after a previous contractor had barely scratched the surface of a tree stump. We were called in to grind it properly. As a general guide, stumps should normally be ground to a depth of around 6–12 inches, although we always take extra care where underground services may be present.

We also removed a large Larch and Scots Pine, before grinding out both stumps and leaving the site completely clear. All timber, brash and stump grindings were removed, with the entire job completed in just one day, demonstrating our efficiency and capacity to undertake larger projects.

Another recent job involved carefully reducing a row of mature oak trees. Every branch was rigged away from the neighbouring property to ensure complete control throughout the work. While not the most visually dramatic transformation, it was an important safety measure to reduce the loading towards the property and help minimise the risk during severe weather, without the need to remove the trees entirely.

We’ve also been busy carrying out cherry tree pruning, with July and August being the ideal time of year for this work, alongside a steady flow of tree removals and stump grinding projects.

A challenging job from last week involving a dangerously leaning ash tree (affected by dieback) and a beech tree positioned over a steep banking.

⚠️ Disclaimer: We were contracted to deal with the ash and beech trees only. Any additional felling on site was carried out separately from us.

Both trees posed a significant hazard due to their lean toward nearby houses and the difficult terrain. The ash tree’s condition made it even more unpredictable.

Our team safely climbed, rigged, and carefully section-felled both trees with full control throughout the process. All work was completed to a professional standard, with stumps left at a safe height.

Another job done safely and efficiently 🌳

Both trees were carefully debranched and sectionally dismantled to protect the surrounding patio and services.
