☀️ Monday morning and it’s all systems go!

With the summer holidays coming to an end, our engineers are busy on site upgrading lighting across a local college, making sure everything is ready for staff and students returning.

It’s a busy period for the team, with projects being completed against tight deadlines and plenty happening behind the scenes to get everything finished on time.

💡 From improving lighting levels and energy efficiency to giving classrooms and communal areas a fresh new look, these upgrades will make a real difference when the college comes back to life.

A big thank you to all our engineers for putting in the hard work and keeping everything moving ,especially during this busy time of year.

This week I have had the pleasure of having a young lad with me on work experience, giving him a real insight into life as an electrician.
He asked lots of questions, got stuck in where appropriate and showed a genuine interest in learning.
It’s great to see young people considering a career in the electrical industry.

⚡ The lights never go out... because someone is working through the night.
While most people were asleep, we were hard at work.
Last night's shift saw us working through until 4:30am, making sure the job was completed safely and on schedule, with minimal disruption to the client's operations.
This is one of the parts of the electrical industry that people don't always see. Many commercial projects have to be carried out overnight so businesses can continue operating during the day. It means long hours, early mornings and plenty of coffee, but it's all part of delivering the service our clients rely on.
As Director of ETSE Compliance, I'm not just behind a desk. I'm still on the tools alongside the team when the job requires it. Leading by example has always been important to me.
A huge thank you to everyone involved for putting in the effort and getting the job done professionally.
After a few hours sleep... back to doing it all again! ☕⚡

🎉 Today, the tools are staying in the van... and for a very good reason.
As the Director of ETSE Compliance, I'm usually either in the office keeping the business moving or out on site with the team, carrying out electrical work. Like many small business owners, you wear a lot of hats!
But today is different.
I'm taking the day off to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. 🥳
Running a business often means early starts, late finishes and juggling work with family life. It's not always easy to step away, but some moments are too important to miss.
Tomorrow, it'll be back to EICRs, fault finding, consumer unit upgrades and helping our customers across Sussex. Today, though, is all about making memories with family.
Happy 18th Birthday to my amazing daughter – I couldn't be prouder of the young woman you've become. ❤️
