SMART HOME STUFF:
It's worth calling some companies out for the prices they charge. In this case it's lamplec.co.uk - and the price they charge for the BG smart dimmer.
This is a great smart dimmer, it works really well. Alexa, Google & Siri compatible.
We use them at home: "Alexa, lighting down to 20%", "Alexa, lighting on" etc... Yes, we're lazy, and we don't want to get up when we're lounging around watching the telly. Or when we're going to bed we can walk up the stairs and say "Lighting off". Or coming into the house, and say "lounge lights on".
[Also, we've used a BG Smart Socket for the past 5 years to turn the kettle on while we're still in bed, so it's ready when we get downstairs to make the morning cuppa. Hasn't missed a beat in 5 years.]
They cost about £30 each (that's with the VAT) for the modules at most wholesalers. Lamplec are charging just short of £125 for the same item.
If you want any of these fitted, we'll naturally be charging you the lower price for parts!
