💡 Lighting Upgrade Completed by JOCS Electrical LTD

We recently carried out a lighting upgrade at RTF Lurgan, converting outdated fluorescent fittings to modern energy-efficient LED by re-engineering the existing light units.

This upgrade provides the client with:
• Lower electricity costs
• Reduced maintenance and replacement expenses
• Brighter and more reliable lighting
• Longer-lasting LED fittings compared to fluorescent lamps
• Improved safety by removing ageing fluorescent ballasts, which can become a fire hazard over time (as shown in the photos)

Older fluorescent fittings often contain ballasts that deteriorate with age, increasing the risk of overheating and failure. By upgrading to LED, the client now benefits from safer, more efficient, and more reliable lighting.

It’s been a full-on week for the JOCS Electrical team, tackling a range of dangerous electrical issues — from overloaded circuits and faulty consumer units to unsafe wiring that could have caused serious problems if left unchecked.

We’re proud to say every job was made safe, compliant, and ready to run reliably 👍

We’d like to recognise Alfie, our electrical apprentice at JOCS Electrical, who has successfully completed his first unassisted consumer unit installation to a very high standard.

We take great pride in the training and development of our apprentices, and this is an excellent milestone that reflects Alfie’s hard work, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Well done, Alfie — a great achievement and a positive step forward in your apprenticeship

Bar one sticker that’s wrong but we’ll work on the labels 😂
This is a progress post based on Alfie’s work I know there is snags but it wouldn’t be his work if I stepped in fixed it all up and lied to make it look like no one makes mistakes. We are very happy with Alfie and we all learn every day. ⚡️
