Well.. dreams look different for everyone.

For some, it’s the big, extravagant, almost impossible kind. Like being rich, famous, owning a mansion somewhere sunny.

For others, it’s marriage, kids, the whole traditional picture… (no thanks from me 😅)

But mine?

Mine has always been simple.

A dog.

Every Christmas list — dog
Every birthday candle — dog

I used to say it all the time growing up.
I didn’t care where I lived, what job I had, what my life looked like.. if I had a dog, I’d be happy.

For the longest time, I’ve never been in a position where it felt fair to have one.
And that mattered to me.

But life changes. One day at a time, things fall into place.

And now I finally get to say this…

Meet Buddi 🐾

My 6 week old blue staffy.
I pick him up in two weeks.. and I honestly can’t put into words how much this means to me.

Thank you. genuinely. to every single person who’s supported me.
Sharing my posts, using my services, leaving reviews, recommending me. you’ve all played a part in this moment.

This isn’t just about getting a dog.
It’s something I’ve dreamed about my whole life.

Plumberette… just became Plumberette + Pet ❤️🐾

P.S I will be that crazy dog mum posting pictures of his first walk.

It’s shocking the things I find. If you are gonna do things, do it properly!

This heating system is now working like a dream.
No air.
No sludge.
No old compressions.
No cold radiators.

Not the best start to the weekend 🤣 after a week off work. (Maybe the odd little job here and there)

I got in my van after a job in town at 7pm.
Clutch said no.

9.30pm towed home by AA

Unfortunately I wont be working until my van is back on the road 🙏🏼 it is next week.

Make sure you’re paying someone with the right knowledge, because knowledge can actually save you a lot of money.

Recently I’ve been out to a few jobs that, on the surface, looked like simple DIY tasks — changing kitchen taps, fixing a leaking pipe, or clearing sludge from radiators.

But once I got there, the real issues were much bigger.

Kitchen tap change:
The property had an unvented cylinder and the expansion vessel was leaking. The customer also mentioned she had to bleed the towel radiator every week. Over time, constantly introducing air into the system can cause corrosion and lead to further leaks.
Would a DIYer have spotted this issue?

Sludge in radiators:
After checking the pipework, I noticed the magnetic filter had been installed on the wrong pipe. This meant it wasn’t properly cleaning the heating system, which led to sludge building up and blocking several radiators.
Would a DIYer have diagnosed that?

Pipe leak:
This was a large system with two unvented cylinders and an accumulator. The tundish was dripping, which was the first sign something wasn’t right. On inspection, the overflow connected to the tundish hadn’t been piped correctly, which was causing the leak.
Would a DIYer know where to start?

This is why proper training and experience matter. There’s a reason we spend years learning, taking courses, and gaining hands-on experience.

Knowledge isn’t expensive, mistakes are.
