We are committed to diverting as much waste from landfill as possible, and currently recycle in excess of 93%of all waste processed at our state-of-the-art recycling facility in Worsley, Manchester.

Today, colleagues across Kenny Waste Management's offices have been wearing pink to support Breast Cancer Now and help raise money for vital breast cancer research and care.

A huge thank you to Alix and Inga for organising the day, and to everyone who got involved, donated and helped make it special.

This year's awareness day is particularly meaningful for us, as Inga has shared her own experience with breast cancer in a powerful and personal article: Still Here, Still Loud: My Experience with Breast Cancer.

🛠️ 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻.

A couple of weeks ago, we started the next phase of our Young People’s Construction Skills Project, working with a group of 14–17 year olds from .

The group is working towards an exciting project of their own: building an outdoor ‘chill out’ space behind The Pavilion at CommUNITY Little Hulton.

This week, they headed to Peel Green Construction Skills Centre in Eccles to learn some of the woodworking and joinery skills they’ll need to build the pergola.

Gary from Frameworks showed them how to measure, cut and join timber to create strong joints before letting them have a go themselves.

There were some instant successes, a few learning curves and plenty of hands-on problem solving, but everyone got stuck in and really enjoyed it.

We’re looking forward to seeing what they build next! 👏

How prepared is your business for Simpler Recycling? ♻️

📅 31 March 2025
Simpler Recycling requirements came into force for workplaces across England, with businesses required to separate dry recyclables, food waste and general waste.

📅 31 March 2027
The requirements will also apply to micro-firms with fewer than 10 full-time equivalent employees.
