Planning was certainly a conversation starter at New Deer Show!

As sponsors of the Home and Construction Zone, it is important to us to support local homeowners, landowners and rural businesses by offering practical advice and helping them understand what may be possible.

Across the two-day event, we spoke with many people considering new-build homes to replace old ruins or redundant steadings. Concerns around planning timescales, complexity and uncertainty came up regularly, but the level of interest also highlighted just how much untapped potential exists within rural properties across the North East.

Planning can feel daunting, but having experienced professionals involved from the outset can make the process much more manageable. Baxter Design Company can assess a site’s potential, identify possible challenges early and guide clients through the design and planning process with greater clarity and confidence.
