Another beautiful loom chair and laundry basket are being restored. My client loved her pink and white chair, that I found her for the bathroom, so much that she bought another one. There's also the matching laundry basket in need of a spruce up.

I've prepped them both ready to be undercoated and sprayed off white. More of that lovely chunky dusky pink and white fabric has arrived so we are well on the way.

We can't wait to get started on the reupholstery of this sofa. It's going to come to life with a vibrant hard wearing fabric.

When deciding if you think it's worth upholstering your sofa you need to ask yourself these questions...

Do you love it?
Is it sentimental?
Does it fit/work in the space?
Is it sturdy?

If you have a solid frame and it fits your brief then spending more upfront on reupholstery rather than buying a cheap new sofa is a good idea and sensible investment.

If you are worried it's costing more you need to focus on the bigger picture....

We will give you much higher quality fabric and interiors than you get from cheap high street sofas. (They are being mass produced for a low price point.) If you look after a restored sofa you'll be paying for one sofa instead of buying 2 or 3 cheap ones that wear through or break, saving you a lot of money in the future.

You can completely transform the look with our help from new feet, removing skirts, altering cushions, fresh fabric and scatter cushions.

This sofa is sturdy and fits perfectly in my clients home, so it makes sense to refresh it with some new upholstery. The interiors aren't old so we don't need to replace these.

Co-ordinating restored furniture with your current interiors is something I love to do.

Just picking out a little colour from the scatters off the sofa and woodwork really helps to give you a subtly cohesive room.

Bringing a little character and a mix of furniture together making your home as unique as you.

We had too much fun restoring the grand children's chairs for our clients.

Woodwork completely refinished and woodworm treated just to be safe. Beautiful khaki leather and antique style studs. Everything I've made sure is perfectly smooth for little fingers. Replica seats made with corners so they don't slide off. Finished with extra comfy foam to support the big kids gaming too.

What an absolute pleasure it was delivering these and meeting the cutest baby who tested them for comfort and gave me a big smile. That's all I needed to put the cherry on top of a lovely project. Infact I had to hold back the tears. ☺️

I collected some beautiful teak chairs this morning that are in the workshop for a little tlc. Wobbly joints, flat seats and tired upholstery.

Mid-century dining chairs are somewhat a favourite of ours and well worth the restoration investment when compared to the durability and comfort of many of the modern equivalents.

Just a little colour wheel alternative to a flag to say whoever you are we all welcome you at Dream-tiques. I'm sure you all know this but perhaps a little reminder is good for those less confident.

I have a huge range of clients from all walks of life and I love getting to know you all and appreciate you.

I rarely discuss my sexuality (Le***an) because for me it doesn't define who I am, my quality of work and personality do!

Another day another exciting project that's started amongst many.

I've been commissioned to restore this petit bentwood chair from my stock. It's polish has been stripped off and I need to finish sanding it whilst my client chooses a fabric. It's not going to be boring I can confirm that because I have already worked on a Halabala commission for her many years ago.
