As well as been a fire hazard, The entire house which has 2 electric showers, was supplied via a 10mm cable fed from the V-phase unit fitted by the solar guys 🙈.
Also there was a combined earth leakage of 21.5mA across 10 circuits causing daily nuisance tripping of the RCD.
Only answer was a new consumer unit with a Electrical installation test on the entire installation.

Lots of rental properties needing fuse boards up graded to 18th edition consumer units to meet current regulations and requirements. All work is certified.

This was a tight squeeze between kitchen units and the ceiling.

If your old fuse board looks like this it is probably over due an up grade to an 18th edition consumer unit

Got a call out to a shower not working today. Cable was removed before I took the picture.
The cause was a loose connection at the load side of the mcb. RCD didn't trip. This really emphasises the need for periodic inspections and the importance of torquing your connections and the extra protection a metal clad consumer unit with the correct IP rating can provide. This could quite easily have been a house fire 🔥
