We can also assist you with advice on planning permission requirements for stables and other equestrian buildings and can help you work through your ideas so that your yard functions efficiently and comfortably. We supply and build all types of stables, including indoor and outdoor stables, American barns, horse shelters, mobile field shelters, garages/workshops and many stable extras. Our experienced team can supply a full set of accurate architectural drawings, ensuring that you exceed all necessary requirements when submitting your stables planning application to your Local Authority. We charge a minimal fee for our stables architectural drawings which are fully refundable against the price of your order, effectively making it a free service. Back to school this week for so many this week... so we just had to reshape one of our favourite builds of the summer. This outdoor classroom for St James School, Coldwaltham 🌟

3 years in the making, funded through incredible fundraising by their PTA and a Tesco blue coin win, and we were so proud to bring it to life. It's now their outdoor learning hub, forest school space, and playtime spot all in one. The school told us: "they listened, guided, and supported us with genuine expertise and warmth... approachable, thoughtful, and absolutely lovely to work with." 🫶

Our stable builds took us from Devon to Scotland, coast to coast, even a ferry to Jersey!

Proudly creating Mobile shelters, American barns, re-roofs, new roofs, happy horses and delighted donkeys along the way.

John joined Prime Stables back in 2010 as our Workshop Manager - over 15 years of craftsmanship, know-how and getting every detail right.

We're proud members of the Guild of Master Craftsmen, and John's work is a big part of why. Every stable that leaves our workshop carries that same high standard.

Outside of work, he's all about family - weekends usually mean his two kids and a National Trust park adventure 🌳

We's sp proud of all of our team and it's craftsmen like John who make sure every Prime Stables build is one you can trust. 🐴

Did you know you may not need planning permission for one of our mobile field shelters? 🐴

That could be one less thing to worry about - although it does depend on factors such as your location, land use and the type of shelter you’re installing.

We always recommend checking with your local planning department before placing your order, as rules can vary between councils.

⭐️ And if you do need planning permission, we can help!

At Prime Stables, we can support you through the process and provide documentation that may be required, including:

➡️ Ordnance Survey maps
➡️ Supporting information for your application

Having the right paperwork ready can help make the process feel much simpler and smoother.
