Absolute beast of day. The weather has let us have it all day. Late start with the concrete, and only just walked thru the door. The lads have been great all day the job has been done to the finest of standards in the most ridiculous of environments. 💪💪 Hats off to them. Not easy in direct sunlight ☀️. But 1st pour of the job is in. Let's enjoy the long wknd off and go again next week. Few cuts to go in Tomo morning did manage get 4 bays cut today.

We have made a start on external slab project for a new client on a high profile job for a local RAF base.
The team will be install forms to include all expansion joints in a chess board pattern. Slabs to be 205mm with a393 and various dowel joints.PAV2 concrete to be placed with brush finish and margin trowel bands. 1st pour to commence on Friday.

We was approached by a local farm manager a few months ago for a solution to his silo slab. It was originally laid to fall towards the middle. The drying floor however is flat. We suggested cutting around the outside to the finish floor level required. Breaking out a channel all the way around the outside, we used a self compacting/leveling screed which work really well bringing the slab level. Another one to do in the future. We don't just lay new slabs. Concrete repairs and restoration is also something our team have alot of knowledge in.
