Hi
Bit of a random request from me but does anyone know who owns the garages either on Dinting Vale or Simmondley Lane?
If you own one andwould be interested in renting one or selling one to me please send me a message.
Or any other garage in the area for that matter.
Thanks

I really can't understand the cruelty of some people. It makes me sick. After all he has been through, it would be fantastic if Barney could end up around here. It's such a wonderful place. If anyone has a Barney shaped hole in their heart, please go and bring him home!

After all he’s been through, poor BARNEY is still stuck in kennels and really is desperate for a home πŸ’”πŸ€ŽπŸ’”

He is such a sensitive boy who does not cope well around the kennel environment at all πŸ’” we just cannot sit back and see him stuck in kennels - some days he’s so worried and it’s just so sad πŸ˜” he’s only 1 yr old, has been through absolute hell and deserves so much more 🀎

Barney URGENTLY needs to be in a home 🚨 FOSTER, or with a view to adopt - being in a home environment will make all the difference to him and will turn his life around ❀️

His story broke so many hearts when he first arrived - at 10 months old, he was saved by Police after used as a bait dog πŸ’” he had lived chained up outside on a wooden pallet πŸ’” yet he was (and still is) the sweetest boy - it seems as though he’s now been forgotten πŸ˜”πŸ€Ž

Barney is truly amazing despite what he’s been through 🀎 he loves everyone he meets, is housetrained, great around the house, loves his walks and is so so intelligent and β€˜in tune’ with his person 🀎 he will love to continue his training and confidence building …. He deserves and desperately needs to be in a home πŸ’”πŸ™πŸ»πŸ€Ž

Excuse my rather poor editing skills. I just wanted to point this out as I have noticed customers becoming a little more price sensitive in recent months (understandably so by the way believe me if anyone needs stories of costs going up I have loads!)

This is from another group fairly locally and I have seen the original post from the lady complaining about her garden. I've also seen another one about a lad in used to collect waste from when I first started, where I stopped collecting from him for a large number of reasons, mainly not wanting to be associated with his work.

I just wanted to point this out as I can fully understand the temptation in this climate to use someone cheap. Many people who know me will know this hits very close to home with me and my family and I urge people, use someone who comes recommended, be prepared to wait for them, it's a good sign when they are delayed as it shows they care about the quality of their work. Also work with them in terms of budget and the job requirements. Much better to wait for the job you want or save up a bit than end up in one of these situations. Best wishes to all the good tradespeople out there in these challenging times. I think if people are good, there's enough work for everyone.

Calling all horse people....
Or anyone with land or a hole that needs filling really. I just thought of horses as when it rains the ground is going to get badly churned up.

I've got around 4 tonnes of old stone that has been dug out (previously used as decorative but wouldn't use for that now) as well as 2 - 3 tonne bags of old soil. It will be perfect to fill in holes, level out dips in fields etc.

This is not stuff you can use for your flower beds or to put outside your house, it will be tipped on site for you to deal with (no barrowing etc included) and you must take it this week. However it is completely 100% free.

*Also, to all the people who have got in touch asking about the vacancy, I'm genuinely surprised and grateful to have had such a massive response. With working 7 days a week, often very long days, i simply haven't been able to get back to everyone. I will do though and it's a shame I can't give everyone a job

So it's with mixed emotions that Alfie is moving on. Whilst I'm very sad, he has found something new, he's managed to get himself a joinery apprenticeship. I'm sure many of you will join me in wishing him all the best and it's great to see a young man making his way in the world.

It does however mean that I have a job opportunity. I have previously looked to employ young ones starting out as not many places give young ones a chance any more. It was also partly due to me being unsure about work loads and needing the flexibility rather than someone with a mortgage to pay too. I say that to say I'm really busy and open to someone with more experience.

In terms of what I'm looking for
1. Have a look at our page, see what we do and see if that interests you.
2. I'm changing my business quite significantly in the next few weeks so I'm looking for someone flexible.
3. Someone who gets stuck in and doesn't wait around to be told what to do.
4. Someone practically minded. Whilst I'm open to someone who hasn't got experience, I'd at least like someone who knows what most of the tools are.
5. Strong and physically fit. Basic handling techniques can be taught though.
6. Sensible. There is an element of danger to what we do. It is important that we look after each other.
7. Communication. It is highly important that the successful person is able to have conversations with me and customers.
8. Trustworthy. Must be able to be trusted around tools and cash.
9. Be happy with going home every day tired. I put my heart and soul into this. When I do actually spend time at home I regularly fall asleep on the sofa. We are a small team and don't carry passengers.
10. Most importantly, we care about our customers and are very grateful for the support of everyone. We show that we care when we go to our customers. We are polite, respectful and aim to go beyond our customers expectations.

If you think this might be for you, please get in touch and I'll look forward to speaking with you

So what an idiot I am. Alfie turned 18 yesterday and I thought I'd be nice and give him the day off. We were absolutely rammed out today and ended up dismantling and clearing 5 sheds, clearing out a garage and a bunch of other collections

Fortunately none were as bad as this photo. If you have a shed that looks like this and don't want the side eye from your neighbours, get in touch and we can clear it for you.
We can be contacted via messenger or 07703 608 436 for a quick and easy quote for any waste removals. We can clear anything up to and including asbestos.

Have a good weekend everyone

People who steal the equipment which honest people use to make a living, deserve nothing but the contempt of decent people.
To then do what they did to the policeman is just absolutely disgraceful. Anyone with any common sense would know if they had someone trapped on their vehicle. His poor widow must be devastated. They had only recently got married. To begin to make something of your life for the wounds to be reopened again is just awful.

If these people don't belong in prison, I genuinely don't know who does.

Been great today! 4 cycles to get through the Windsor castle junction.
5 sets of lights between Marple and Glossop!
The Windsor Castle ones are a joke its only a small patch on compstall rd but it's adding 15 mins every trip through. On a serious note does anyone know if the traffic lights companies get paid extra for making them as complicated as possible. Pretty sure that a 2 way one on compstall rd would have been fine. Also the guys on station rd were just working on the grass earlier. Someone is definitely making a fortune from these lights
