This week I was asked to dismantle and remove an old portacabin. From careful dismantling to loading, sorting the waste and leaving the site tidy, the whole job was taken care of.

UPDATE – THE SEARCH IS NOW CLOSED!

Wow… I genuinely didn’t expect this kind of response! 🤯

Thank you to everyone who commented, messaged, emailed, tagged friends or got in touch. The amount of interest and, more importantly, the quality of people who reached out for editing my swearing sometimes incoherent Highland rambles has completely blown me away.

I’ve now narrowed the shortlist down from 22 applicants to 5 finalists, who’ll be working on a trial project over the next couple of weeks.

A massive thank you to everyone who took the time to get in touch. There were far more messages, emails and recommendations than I ever expected, so if I haven’t managed to reply to your private message, email or text personally, I do apologise.

This has shown me just how much creative talent we’ve got here in the Highlands, and I’m genuinely grateful to everyone who offered to help Highland Tidy grow.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what the finalists come up with, and I’ll be sure to share the results when I can.

Looking for a Local Video Editor 🎥

I’m looking for someone local who can turn a collection of video clips into a professional promotional video for my business, Highland Tidy.

I’m after someone who can:

* Edit together existing phone/video footage.
* Add smooth transitions, music and text where appropriate.
* Create a polished promotional video suitable for Facebook and other social media.
* Offer ideas on the best way to showcase the business.

I’d prefer someone local to the Highlands so we can meet if needed and discuss future projects, but I’m happy to hear from anyone with examples of their previous work.

WANTED – Yard, Hardstanding or Storage Land (Tain Area Preferred)

Highland Tidy is looking for a small yard, hardstanding area, storage compound or piece of land to rent, with the possibility of purchasing if the right site becomes available.

Preferred Area:
📍 Tain and immediate surrounding area preferred, however sites from Invergordon to Dornoch will be considered.

Requirements:
• Hardstanding preferred
• Existing workshop, shed or premises would be a bonus but not essential
• Suitable for storing a small number of skips and waste containers
• Secure access preferred
• Farm yards, former industrial sites, storage compounds and redundant commercial land all considered

Intended Use:
• Storage of skips and equipment associated with a licensed waste carrier business
• Clean, non-putrescible waste only (no food waste)
• No smells, vermin, hazardous waste or processing operations
• Low vehicle movements and tidy operation

Just a quick update from Highland Tidy.
I’m now fully booked until I head off on holiday this Friday and will be taking bookings again from the week beginning 29th June.
There may be a delay in replying to messages over the next couple of weeks while I finish off existing jobs and enjoy a well-earned break, but I will get back to everyone as soon as I can.
I’d also like to say a huge thank you to all my customers for the support so far this year. It’s been a fantastic start, and it’s been great helping keep the Highlands a tidier place, one job at a time.

Construction waste job completed yesterday ✔️

Wood, metal and around 1.5 tonnes of glass all responsibly disposed of, leaving the trades free to focus on the job they’re actually there to do.

No fuss, no mess, just a tidy site ready for the next stage of the project.
