Upstairs to the first room… 🧵⚡️
This is a space that needs to work hard. It’s being primarily designed as a craft room for our sewing-mad client 🧵 but it will also double up as a spare bedroom when needed - so flexibility was key when planning the electrics.
We’ve installed plenty of sockets, including USB charging points, making sure there’s power wherever it’s needed, whether that’s sewing machines, lamps, chargers or everything in between.
Every inch planned with practicality in mind - even if the finished room will look effortless 👌🏼

Welcome to the games room… 🎱🥃⚡️
The vision for this space is an old-school smokers’ room vibe - a pool table, bar area, plenty of character & a large TV ready for watching the big games.
Behind the scenes we’re making sure it’s just as practical as it is atmospheric. The TV will be hardwired directly to the internet for reliable streaming.
First fix is now underway with sockets boxed and ready for plastering 👍🏻

Moving into the downstairs hallway, this space is full of character - from the beautiful arched doorways @ original stained glass window.
Our electrical design needs to work seamlessly alongside these period features, enhancing the space without taking away from what makes it special.
Whilst the beautiful details get all the attention, the important stuff is happening behind the scenes too with smoke alarms installed throughout the property as part of the electrical works.
A careful balance of old and new, bringing modern functionality into a building full of history 🏡

Creating the dining space… 💡✨
As the kitchen starts to take shape, we’re also thinking about how the open-plan space will work as a whole.
The dining area will sit within the kitchen with feature pendant lighting over the dining table helping to define & zone the space while adding a statement detail to the finished room.
It’s a great example of how clever electrical design isn’t just about functionality - lighting can completely change how an open-plan space feels & works 💡

Inside the kitchen… 👀⚡️
The next stop on our project tour with James is the future kitchen & there’s already a lot going on behind the scenes.
From removing the existing staircase & opening up the space, to installing spotlights throughout & preparing the electrics for multiple cooking zones, including a range of hobs.
It’s all about planning the electrical layout around how the finished space will actually be used & making sure everything is in the right place before the kitchen starts to take shape.
