We have been established as a successful countryside management and forestry contracting business based in Hodnet, Shropshire and Hales, Staffordshire for over 20 years, providing our services all over the West Midlands. It is only in recent years with the rising popularity of woodfuels and sustainable energy that we have seen a demand for products which are a direct by-product of the conservation

projects that we manage. As a solely family run business we take great care in providing a quality product with reliable customer service. Each and every log has complete traceability from when the tree is felled all the way to final delivery to the customer.

Not all firewood is created equal.

While some logs on the market can exceed 20% moisture, our kiln-dried firewood is typically under 10%, meaning more of the energy goes into heating your home rather than boiling off excess water.

As the busy firewood season calms down, we are super busy at Shropshire Firewood HQ getting stocks built up ready for Winter 2026! Spring & summer is also the time that we improve our operation at the yard, as well as completing our contract work doing site clearances, wood chipping, and general countryside management projects.

Our up-to-date price list (as of April 2026).
It may be April, but it’s still chilly at night and with oil prices at an all-time high, get that fire lit! Many of you may not realise that not only are we suppliers of kiln dried firewood (both hardwood & softwood), we also stock smokeless coal and sacks of kindling too.

Delivery is free within a 10 mile radius of Tern Hill, Shropshire (TF9 3PU). However, we will happily deliver further afield but a small delivery fee will be charged at £1.50 per mile beyond the first 10 miles. Please send a DM for more info.

🎅🏼🎄A very Merry Christmas from Shropshire Firewood!🎄🎅🏼

Christmas Eve is here and Tom, Steve & Sam are spending the day doing the last few log deliveries and finishing off a couple of local jobs. As the day draws to an end, they’ll be putting their feet up for a well-deserved relax & tipple over the festive break!

It’s been the busiest winter yet for firewood orders and we are so grateful for your continued support!
2025 saw us not only get busier, but we have been working on improving our business. We have obtained a second delivery vehicle which has sped up delivery times, improved the log cleaning process and purchased a bigger and better wood chipper allowing us to provide top quality woodchip too.
