After a long time I managed to get all of the old upholstery and strapping off the frame who ever worked on it before used old bits and bobs to cover it, put some dowels in the corners to to strengthen The frame

Back to the seat pad from the carver chair stated to unpick the old upholstery fabric off the framework loads and loads of little tacks

Been working on two coffee tables that my wife found in an auction they had lots of scratches and very dark varnish so out with my trusty sander they were pine underneath much better with a coat of clear varnish

The new bit all clued glued in place doesn't look bad, sanding all over the chair then tried some wood dye on the new bit, what about the seat pad? I'm not really an upholstery but I'll have a go

Cutting the damaged bits out and gluing in the new place I cut and shaped clamping it all together with a plastic bag around to stop the glue going everywhere

Got back in my workshop after a long time making a new decorative part to replace the damaged one in the back rest of the carver chair and started some sanding
