🏠 Another project we absolutely loved delivering from start to finish.

We opened up the existing kitchen and dining room to create one large open-plan space, taking care of the full structural package including structural calculations, Building Control and installation of the new steelwork.

The standout feature on this one has to be the exposed steel.

Rather than boxing it in, our clients wanted to make a feature of it — an idea we loved from the start. The steel was treated with the required intumescent coating to achieve the necessary fire protection, before being finished in bright red. Against the finished kitchen, it absolutely pops and gives the whole space some serious character.

Internally, we completed the transformation with:

• Removal of the existing kitchen
• Structural opening formed and new steelwork installed
• Plastering works
• Levelling of the floor and installation of new LVT flooring
• New kitchen installation
• Plumbing and electrical works
• New radiators
• Upgrade of the existing downstairs WC

We also completely renewed the large existing flat roof with an EPDM rubber roof system, forming two new openings for the flat roof skylights and upgrading the existing roof structure to accommodate the new openings and glazing.

How long does a house extension take?
One of the first things people want to know when planning an extension is how long the work is likely to take.

There is no one answer, as it depends on the size of the extension, the amount of structural work involved and the complexity of the project.
A smaller, straightforward extension will naturally take less time than a larger build with significant internal changes.

Good planning before work starts makes a big difference and helps the project run much more smoothly.

✅ Roof complete on our Wallasey project.

This full design and build project consisted of a single-storey rear and double-storey side extension, with the new hipped roof carefully tied into the existing roof to create one continuous roofline.

A fairly complex roof structure, but a seriously clean finish.

Next up: windows and doors, getting the structure fully watertight and ready to push on with the internal works.

Our client came to us with an idea to extend their home, but weren’t sure where to start.

We took care of the entire process.

From the initial design and planning through all statutory requirements, piled foundations, groundworks, drainage, structural works and roofing — followed by glazing, electrics, plumbing, underfloor heating, plastering, kitchen installation, flooring, decorating and final completion.
