Summer ‘26 - One for the history books 🥵☀️
This summer has certainly thrown some challenging conditions our way. Prolonged heat, exceptionally dry ground and very little meaningful rainfall have left lawns scorched, trees showing significant drought stress and growth slowing dramatically across many of the sites we maintain.
It’s meant being particularly mindful with our maintenance programmes. Adjusting cutting heights and frequencies, avoiding unnecessary stress on already struggling grass and plants, and recognising when sometimes the best thing we can do is simply leave things alone and let nature recover.
Grounds maintenance isn’t always about making everything shorter and tidier. Sometimes it’s about understanding the conditions, adapting the plan and protecting the landscape for the seasons ahead.
Here’s hoping autumn brings some much-needed steady rainfall. 🌧️🍂
