Another fantastic install completed ☀️

This local home is now powered by a 11.88kWp Solar PV system featuring 25 Aiko solar panels, Tesla’s latest Powerwall 3 and an additional expansion battery for even greater energy storage and resilience 🔋

Designed around the client’s high energy usage, this system is expected to generate around 7,875kWh of renewable electricity each year — offsetting approximately 85% of the home’s electricity demand and delivering huge savings on energy bills.

After choosing GB Solar to install his Solar PV & Battery system (a whopping 40.5kWh of useable storage to be exact!), Andrew then turned to Warm GB to upgrade his heating system.

This customer is enjoying it even more, whilst keeping cool with their newly installed Air-con system 🥶

This is a brilliant example of how solar, battery storage, and air conditioning work together to create a smarter, more energy-efficient home - A setup is designed to maximise energy independence and comfort all year round!

During the day, the solar panels generate electricity to power the home and charge the Tesla Powerwall system. The stored energy can then be used to run the air conditioning — helping keep the property cool even after the sun goes down.

9.5kWp Solar PV + 27kWh Battery storage installed in South Anston.

We used Aiko 480W panels - 8 on the front, and 12 on the back, alongside a Tesla Powerwall 3 with Expansion Pack.

This system will generate 6,466kWh annually, with 72% of the homes electricity usage coming directly from PV.

It is also going to reduce our clients electricity bill by a massive 94%.

We've received some stunning pictures from one of our customers who had a Solar PV & Tesla Powerwall system installed by us last summer. This one looks great 😎

Looks are important right, but lets get down to the real nitty gritty - how has this system delivered in it's first year?

🔋 Total home energy usage: 4.7MWh
☀️ 40% powered directly by solar
🔋 36% supplied by the Tesla Powerwall
⚡ Only 24% imported from the grid

The Powerwall alone discharged an impressive 1,726.1kWh, with:
🏡 99% used directly within the home
⚡ Just 1% coming from the grid

Charging performance was just as impressive:
☀️ 97% of the Powerwall charging came from solar energy
⚡ Only 3% from the grid

And the solar generation figures speak for themselves:
☀️ Total solar generated: 7.3MWh
📤 Solar exported back to the grid: 3.7MWh

That’s a huge reduction in grid reliance, smarter energy usage, and thousands of kWh of clean renewable energy generated in just 12 months!
