We're pleased to have received planning approval for Midvale Road, St Helier. The proposal transforms the former St John Ambulance site into seven new homes, carefully shaped by the character of the surrounding historic streetscape while retaining key mature trees and reusing part of the existing building.

This time last week, the Axis Mason London team came together for a summer team day. The plan was our usual afternoon picnic in the park, but with the weather doing its best to remind us that summer won’t last forever, a change of plans led us indoors for mini golf, drinks, and the sort of competitive spirit that always seems to appear when a scoreboard is involved.
 
A great afternoon spent together away from our desks and a chance to catch up outside the day-to-day.

Mill Place, reimagined.
 
From the restored façades to the floor-by-floor organisation of the workspace, these drawings reveal the layers of thinking behind the adaptive reuse of a former industrial building in St Peter Port. 
 
By celebrating the site’s heritage while introducing flexible, contemporary workspaces, the scheme demonstrates how existing buildings can be transformed for modern ways of working.

From early CGI studies to completed buildings, Merchants Square reflects a consistent design intent carried through from concept to delivery.
 
Material strategy, massing and spatial planning translate closely into the built outcome, demonstrating the alignment between early vision and the completed development.

A material palette coming together for a new workspace design in Guernsey. A balance of warm timber tones, tactile surfaces, soft neutrals and a subtle pop of yellow, this palette has been thoughtfully developed around the unique character and requirements of the space.
 
Building sample boards is an important part of our design process. It allows the team to explore how textures, tones and finishes work together, testing combinations, refining details and ensuring every material contributes to the overall workplace experience.

A sunny site visit to Maisons Les Arches this week. The latest homes, apartments and landscaped spaces are nearing completion, bringing life and identity to this new neighbourhood in St Helier.
 
A palette of stone, brickwork, coloured render and metal cladding, combined with retained historic fabric, helps anchor the development within its local context, creating a contemporary response that remains rooted in its setting.

This time last week, the Axis Mason Jersey team spent the afternoon at St Brelade’s Bay for our annual summer BBQ. Fabulous weather, great food, a bit of healthy competition on the pétanque court and rounders pitch, and plenty of time to catch up as a team.

A lovely afternoon spent together away from our desks, and a reminder of what Jersey summers are all about.
