Integrated seating that really is integrated.

This timber bench is built into the retaining, with Corten behind it and planting on every side. Give the garden a season and it stops looking like something we added. It looks like it grew there.

What we build is just as important as what we plant. This custom Vitex bench was designed to sit naturally within the garden, with timber that weathers softly alongside the planting around it.

Black timber pergola, fireplace, paving, and planting that frames the whole space. This is one of the gardens we built for the Auckland Home Show Garden Showcase, and it is designed to feel like a backyard you would actually use, not just look at. Every element here was built and installed by the Parrot team.

Last week's Auckland Home Show Garden Showcase didn't happen overnight.

This is what the days before looked like. Plants sourced and checked. Stone laid by hand. Timber cut, levelled and fitted. The crew working through every detail across the showgrounds before the gates opened.

We build every garden in the Showcase, working alongside some of Auckland's best landscape designers to bring their concepts to life. It's a big job, and it's one we're proud to be trusted with.

Thanks to everyone who came through and said hello. If you missed it, follow along here. The work doesn't stop.

A walk through this year’s Auckland Garden Showcase 2026 🌿

Ten gardens, each with its own style, personality and inspiration.

From Corten planters and edging, stone and block retaining walls, timber decking and pergolas, to water features, fireplaces, bird baths, paving, outdoor living spaces and beautifully detailed garden paths.

And of course, an incredible variety of plants bringing every space to life, layers of colour, texture, height and movement throughout the gardens.

So many different materials, ideas and ways to create an outdoor space that feels completely unique.

Here’s a closer look at some of the details that made this year’s showcase so special.

And just like that… the 2026 Auckland Home Show & Garden Showcase has come to an end. 🌿🌈

What an incredible journey this has been.

From the very first ideas and months of planning, to the long days and even longer nights bringing these gardens to life, there has been so much work, passion and heart behind this showcase.

To our amazing Parrot team, thank you. We are incredibly grateful for every hour, every extra effort and every little detail you put into making this happen. We couldn’t be prouder of what we created together.

A huge thank you to the Auckland Home Show , to every talented designer who trusted us to bring their vision to life, and to all of our wonderful sponsors, suppliers and partners who helped make this possible. This truly was a team effort.

And to everyone who came through the gardens, stopped at our stand, had a chat, shared your thoughts and told us what inspired you, thank you. Seeing people walk through the showcase smiling, taking photos, discovering new ideas and imagining what they could create in their own outdoor spaces made every bit of hard work worth it.

It honestly went beyond what we could have hoped for, and we loved every part of it.

And somehow, this beautiful rainbow appeared over the Garden Showcase as it all came to an end. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish.

From all of us at Parrot Landscaping, thank you for being part of it. What a week. What a team. What a memory. ❤️

Starting with design.

We came back to visit Lara's garden after a few seasons of growth, and this is what good design does when you give it time. The planting has filled in exactly the way it was drawn. Bird of paradise, palms, native layering, all working together around the pool and outdoor living spaces.

A landscape isn't finished the day we leave. It's finished when it looks like it's always been there.

Only 2 more days to experience these amazing gardens! 🌿✨

Designed by 6 wonderful landscape designers and brought to life by our Parrot team.

Don’t miss out, come and see them for yourself!

And make sure you come say hi 👋 You’ll find the Parrot stand under the pergola on the right-hand side as you enter the Garden Showcase.

Mission Bay. You wouldn't know you were five minutes from the road.

Banana palms, bird of paradise, native ferns, all layered to do one job. Make this garden feel like its own world.

That doesn't happen by accident. Every species placed, every level planned, every sightline considered.
