Socket-outlet RCD (SRCD) or RCD/RCBO for personal protection in damp area?
Just help a customer to update her bathroom sockets in West Harbour recently.
SRCD is the easiest way for replacing, but the number of sockets which can be protected is limited, and it's expensive.
RCD/RCBO needs more time to upgrade in switchboard, but material is much cheaper than SRCD and can protect 1 to 3 circuits. That's very different. Can give you more protection.
I chose RCBO for my customer, as the space in switchboard not enough to fit RCD, and the testing result is perfect😀
