10 weeks of work experience with our solar install team, and now top student of the One Tree Hill College Trade Academy - meet David.

You might remember him as our "One Tree Hill Student." We got to go along and watch him graduate with his BCITO, Connexis, MITO and ETCO qualifications, and take home the top award while he was at it πŸ‘

Huge congrats David! We have a feeling you'll be seeing more of his face soon πŸ‘€

Thousands of students will walk through Saint Kentigern College's newest building every day, powered by the sun overhead. Our team installed the solar, and for Heath Coleman, one of our founders, it's his old school.

"It's not just about what you install. It's what stays behind."

We're proud to share that Future Energy has been named a finalist in the Disruptive Innovation Award at the 2026 Sustainable Business Awards, and included on Sustainable Business Network's Next List 2026 πŸ†

This recognition is for our Yasawa Islands off grid solar and battery project in Fiji, and for the model behind it: an approach that lets commercial solar start small, earn from day one, and run alongside a site's existing diesel generators.

It's an honour to be among the finalists helping to build New Zealand's next economy, with the winners announced at Shed 10 on November 26th.

Thank you to SolaX Power Australia, to the Yasawa Island Resorts team, and to everyone at Future Energy who took this idea to one of the remotest corners of the Pacific and made it work.

It's World Energy Storage Day 🌏 and the Southern Lakes region is exactly why battery storage matters. Storms roll through there all the time. High winds, unpredictable weather, the kind of place where the power can drop out fast.

One of our customers there doesn't worry about it anymore. 16 solar panels, a SolaX Power Australia hybrid inverter, and 10kWh of battery storage means her home stays powered through it all, even when the grid can't keep up.

That's energy independence. Not just lower power bills, but never having to think twice when the weather turns.
