Beyond the Build | BurgerFuel, Auckland International Airport 🍔

We recently handed over a brand new fit-out for BurgerFuel at Auckland Airport , completed in just 5.5 weeks. This was a big job with a lot of design structure, and our team brought every detail together to capture BurgerFuel's bold, unmistakable style.

From the rust bulkhead and Venetian render to the murals and feature lighting, every surface was built to make an impact. We also crafted custom banquette seating with detailed stitching and installed a sleek stainless steel counter, creating a standout space for travellers to refuel before take-off.

A massive thank you to BurgerFuel for trusting us with this project.

2. Kicked off construction at SALT. , and we’re making some speedy progress.

Waterview House | A full residential renovation delivered in just 2 weeks.

Our scope included:

- Bespoke kitchen joinery with a fluted island
- Stacked tile splashback in a warm neutral.
- New pendant lighting and gooseneck mixer, with existing appliances retained.
- Full bathroom retile with a custom wall-hung fluted vanity and integrated basin.
- Backlit mirror and wall-mounted tapware to the bathroom.
- Repainted throughout, moving the home from a cool grey palette to a warmer, softer neutral.

This morning I woke up feeling full of gratitude.

I’m not woo woo or into that sh*t at all, but honestly, how lucky am I?

I’ve been waking up at 3 am and working till about 6 pm, 6 days a week for the last 5 weeks.

I’m exhausted, I’m tired, I’m busy.

That’s it, I’m busy. But how blessed am I to be that busy that I have to wake up that early to keep on top of it? Gone are the days of walking in at that hour, haha; they are a distant memory of a life I used to live.

I’m up at that time to fit in the training I get to do and push my body to crazy fitness levels.

2 knee surgeries, a few head knocks and sh*t …and I just ran 47.4km, training with people who inspire me and connecting with people who challenge me and push me.

Long story short, I’m blessed and so grateful.

There are 9 people in this office that I get to lead, over 100 subcontractors I work with, and so many clients who trust us to bring their dreams to life.

I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, but I’m me! We are Build, and we are f% #^ing doing it! Not only doing it, but doing it authentically and trying to share that growth with everyone to inspire, encourage and guide people on the mistakes we’ve made along the way.

A question I always ask myself is: am I being driven or dragged to do this?

No more ego dragging me. This is my drive for my purpose, which brings me great gratitude.
