Yesterday we unfortunately had to say goodbye to our good mate Shane.
Shane has been an essential part of our team for many years. He was the hardest-working guy I knew and always called a spade a spade. You always knew where you stood with him, and that's something we all respected.
His banter, the quality of his work, and simply his presence on site meant he was loved by everyone—from clients and subcontractors to his workmates. He took pride in everything he did, and it showed.
Shane and I had many "meetings" over the years at the local pub over a pinot noir or a bourbon. We'd talk about everything from work and apprentices, to family, to how much he loved being Poppa Shane. Those conversations and memories are ones I'll always be grateful for.
The job sites won't be the same without you, mate. Thank you for everything you gave to our team, your mates, and everyone lucky enough to know you. Rest easy, Shane. You'll be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Our thoughts are with your family and everyone who loved you.
