Andrew Sharp first joined the BMW Race Driver Series back in 2014, starting out in the 2 Litre Class with an E36 eventually picking up a 3rd overall finish in 2017–2018 and 2nd overall in 2020–2021.

After selling the car to Sam Dunstall in 2021 (where it still competes today), Andrew decided to take on something quicker, moving into an E92 335i. Over the past few seasons he’s steadily developed the car, with each year bringing incremental improvements. In the most recent off-season, the E92 was treated to new brakes, refreshed rear subframe bushes, and an upgraded diff.

For Andrew, the most enjoyable part of the BMW Race Driver Series has always been about the people - “they are a great bunch and I have made many friends over the years”, and “the good clean racing and the post racing banter over an ale or three”.

Looking ahead to this season, Andrew has his sights set on consistent top five finishes, a healthy championship result, and pushing the E92 to faster lap times as the season unfolds.

Andrew also makes special mention of his sponsors, many of whom he met through the Series, and he’s grateful for the amazing support they’ve given him over the years.
