Last week, we had the opportunity to present at The Australasian Corrosion Association Conference in Christchurch, and we're looking forward to sharing again with delegates in Auckland this week.

Brosnan’s Regional Manager for the Upper North Island, Gavin Smith, shared our experience remediating corrosion at The Spencer Hotel, a project that required extensive works to be delivered within a live, operational building. Balancing technical complexity with the needs of residents, guests, and stakeholders provided plenty of valuable lessons along the way.

It was a privilege to discuss real-world challenges and outcomes with a room full of corrosion experts and industry professionals.

Progress continues at Rolleston College Campus Stage 2A, with the new learning facility taking shape.

Recent milestones include the completion of the roof cladding, installation of window glazing and brick veneer, installation of internal framing, completion of the second-fix services, and commencement of the interior wall linings.

One of the highlights over the past weeks has been welcoming Rolleston College students onto the site for a series of visits organised by Project Manager Grant Kilmore.

As seen in the pictures, the students had the opportunity to explore the new building and gain first-hand insight into project management, large-scale construction, and the many trades and disciplines involved in delivering a project of this scale.

Progress is continuing at the Shirley Community Facility in Christchurch, with another key milestone completed.

The team has completed the foundation, slab works, and structural steel, and roof work is starting. This marks an important step forward as the building begins to take shape.

Timber framing, roof construction, and external envelope works are progressing as we work towards delivering a modern, purpose-built facility for the Shirley community.

A big thank you to the Christchurch City Council for partnering with us in keeping the site and community safe. We look forward to sharing more updates as construction progresses.

This month, we're celebrating two anniversaries within the Brosnan team.

Congratulations to Jamie Douglas and Jade Maanaima on reaching five years with Brosnan.

Jamie has played key roles in capital projects, including Spencer on Byron, Auckland’s North Shore, where he led budget management, tender reviews, subcontractor procurement, cash flow forecasting, financial reporting, and stakeholder management, and currently, he is involved with Zone 23.

Jade has contributed to a number of significant projects, including Auckland District Court Reclad, Cintra Apartments Remediation, and Imperial Gardens Remediation, helping manage project costs, support clients, and contribute to successful project delivery.

We appreciate your dedication and look forward to the next five years with you.

The new senior campus at College has reached a key milestone with the installation of structural steel for the second permanent building.

The new facility will add 12 teaching spaces for Years 11-13 learners. Delivering a project of this size in a busy school environment, near a densely populated residential area, requires careful coordination and effective communication.

Clever design considerations and thoughtful programming have assisted with identifying critical procurement items, speeding progress on the site.

Our 8-square-meter flag looks tiny when hoisted 40 meters above ground by Smith Cranes & Construction's Hitachi CX1800.

The flag is flying above the site of the new Alfred Hotel, the six-floor, 123-room hotel Brosnan is building as part of Blenheim's new riverside hospitality district.

Our team is progressing the roof replacement and façade maintenance programme designed to improve the long-term performance and resilience of 26 Hobson Street.

Careful planning and staging are helping us maintain safe access while keeping disruption to occupants, neighbouring businesses, and the public to a minimum.

Operating in the heart of Auckland's C*D brings unique logistical challenges, but our experienced remediation team is doing what we do best: delivering complex projects in live environments.
