Great progress out at Waikari (Glenbrook Road) as the new bridge comes together over the awa. The massive steel girders have been craned into place - the backbone of the whole structure - all deck panels have now been placed, and the final concrete pour is underway.

Our Hawkes Bay crew has been panel stitching to interlock each individual concrete panel into one continuous bridge structure - one of the last big tasks for the structures side of this project. Awesome to see it all coming together.

Delivered in collaboration with Wairoa District Council and WSP, we're restoring permanent, reliable infrastructure for the community. And that comes down to the crew grafting away day in, day out. Ka mau te wehi, team 👏

Celebrating 20 Years of Progress in Millwater 🏘️

A look from above at the final chapter of this two‑decade journey — the last civils stage for the WFH Properties development in Millwater.

Hick Bros has been part of this project since day one, helping shape a community right on our doorstep. It’s been a privilege to contribute to a development that has grown alongside us. Many of our people now proudly call these subdivisions home, which makes this milestone even more special.

A huge thank you to every Hick Bros team member — past and present — who has played a part in this labour of love.

Recently, we celebrated the beautifully matured landscaping that the Three Kings community has come to love. Today, we’re highlighting the impressive ongoing earthworks! 🚜🌱

For the 2025/2026 season, progress is full steam ahead. With 30,000m³ of fill still to be placed, the magnitude of this work is a true testament to the planning, coordination, and effort behind the scenes. Every truckload brings us closer to the next milestone for this project.
As we said in our last post, a huge thank you to everyone involved for keeping the momentum strong and delivering on a project of this size. None of this would be possible without an outstanding team. 💪👏
