From Concept to Construction

We recently took the opportunity to visit one of our Farm Cove projects to see the progress on site. Now through the framing stage, we enjoyed walking through each of the three units and experiencing the spaces as they begin to take shape.

Carefully navigating the scaffolding, we were also able to appreciate the intricate roof forms concealed behind the parapet, one of the many architectural details that will define the finished development.

See the original design alongside the progress on site as the vision continues to come to life. Great to be working with Taylor Construction Group on this project!

🥂 A bittersweet goodbye & an exciting welcome!

Last week we said farewell to Ruby and welcomed Shama Shaheen to the Mia Casa Architecture team.

After just over two years with us, Ruby is heading off on her next adventure. As our Office & Marketing Coordinator, she brought incredible creativity, enthusiasm and energy to the team, driving marketing initiatives and helping make the office such a fun and lively place to be.

Ruby, you will be very sorely missed! Thank you for everything you’ve brought to Mia Casa, and we wish you all the very best for your next adventure.
We’re also excited to welcome Shama, who brings a background in digital marketing and creative arts. We’re looking forward to the fresh ideas and new energy she’ll bring to the role!

Here’s to new chapters and exciting things ahead. 🥂

Every Matariki, we come together for one of our favourite team traditions.

Over a shared morning tea, we open our Matariki Resolutions Box and revisit the goals we each wrote a year ago. It's a chance to reflect on how far we've come, celebrate the milestones we've reached and recognise the unexpected ways we've grown along the way.

Some aspirations have become reality, some have taken a different path and others continue to evolve but each one serves as a reminder that growth isn't always measured by the destination.

As we welcomed the Māori New Year, we took a moment to write down new intentions and aspirations to be opened on Matariki 2027.

A tradition that encourages us to pause, reflect and move into the year ahead with purpose.

Yesterday we celebrated our mid-year office event! The theme was to dress up as our future selves, so we arrived at brunch sporting grey wigs, cardigans, walking sticks and plenty of questionable fashion choices before taking the competition to the new Pakuranga Game Over.

As surprisingly speedy grandparents we hit the go-kart track and bowling lanes, proving we all have plenty of competitive spirit!

It's always great to step away from the office, spend time together and celebrate everything we've achieved so far this year. Here's to an exciting second half of the year! 🎉
