A rather dramatic transformation for the set of 4 of Louis van Os for Culemborg “Swing” dining chairs, 1950s.

It takes a certain amount of courage to take a beautiful piece of mid-century design… and cut it in half.

Luckily, my client had it 😄

The result? These ridiculously stylish, curvaceous little stools.

I simply added a pinch of upholstery magic, keeping every curve clean, every line sleek, and letting that fabulous new silhouette do the talking.
