White Oak is always adding the warmth and durability in your home on any occasions.
It is so nice to work on, with beautiful sweet nut scent. With the router table and template, I can turn it into any shape really.

The final chapter of this bulk walnut display board order.
After hours of sanding, branding, and oiling, these boards are finally ready to leave the workshop.
It's always satisfying to see a stack of finished boards after days of work. Now it's time for them to do their job and showcase someone else's products.

What do you think of walnut as a display board timber?

There’s something special about watching a raw piece of White Oak transform into an end grain board.

From re-sawing and glue-ups to sanding and the final oil finish, every step takes time, patience, and attention to detail. That extra effort is what makes end grain boards so special — they're more friendly on knives, incredibly durable, and built to last for years to come.

The moment the oil hits the wood is always my favourite part.

Some of the most recent custom made boards from the workshop.

End grain boards are considered the premium choice for a reason — they are more durable, gentler on knife edges. The vertical grain structure helps the board resist deep cuts while giving that signature handcrafted texture and depth.

Proper oil treatment is essential for protecting the timber from moisture, reducing drying and movement, and keeping the board looking its best over time.

The frame of the coffee table is finally complete, and today was the exciting dry fit stage.
Because the entire frame is built with traditional mortise and tenon joinery, I’m able to fully assemble the table without glue or nails just to see everything come together for the first time. That’s one of the most satisfying advantages of proper woodworking joinery — strong, precise, and you can dry fit it.

With the help of the modern machines, traditional mortises and tenons are much easier to make, but hand chisels are still critical for a perfect and snag fit.
A clean, prefect, LEGO like fit is just so satisfying.

Final oiling process for some recent customer orders.
This is always the most satisfying part of the work — the moment the oil touches the wood and the true beauty of the grain comes to life. That’s when all the time, effort, and craftsmanship feel completely worth it.
