📚✨ Wikipedia Open Christchurch | Event Recap ✨📚

We were thrilled to be part of Open Christchurch this year with our Representation in Architecture Workshop! 🏛️💛

Thank you to those who came and got involved with the editing. 🙌

Our hardworking editors uploaded 49 images 📸 and completed 392 edits ✏️📖.

It was a great weekend full of inspiring architecture 🏗️✨ and we hope to be back in the future.

These events continue to help Wikipedia grow 🌱 and help make the work of female architects 👩‍💼🏛️ more visible.

🌿 Weaving Connections Nelson | Event Recap 🌿

Last month, the NZIA Nelson Marlborough Branch and Architecture + Women NZ came together for another Weaving Connections event - a relaxed evening of networking, conversation, and new connections.

✨ Hosted in the beautiful showroom of Edito , Char Doyer Jack's Nelson furniture and design studio, the event was set amongst thoughtfully curated international furniture and design pieces. A huge thank you to Char for hosting and generously contributing a prize draw for guests.

🎤 We were also delighted to hear from Annie Pokel, Business Development Manager at , Aotearoa's leading gallery dedicated to design, craft, and architecture. Annie shared insights into Objectspace's work fostering engagement with material culture and the built environment.

🏛️ 🌳 🎨 The room brought together practitioners from across architecture, urban design, planning, landscape architecture, construction, and the arts - exactly the kind of cross-disciplinary community Weaving Connections aims to nurture.

💬 The conversations flowed, new connections were formed, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming throughout the evening.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a special event for the Nelson region. 💛

The NZ Interior Awards 2026 are open for entries - and we're proud to share them with our community.

An independent, industry-led programme recognising excellence in interior and spatial design across Aotearoa. Convened by Amanda Harkness, with a jury of Sarosh Mulla, Annabel Smart, Koos De Keijzer and Jade Kake - four leading practitioners bringing depth, rigour and a genuine passion for the discipline to a peer-reviewed judging process that includes live presentations.

Nine categories. One Premier Award. A platform that extends well beyond the night, through NZ Design Week 2027.
