🍓 STRAWBERRY PLANTER WORKSHOP THIS WEEK! 🍓

We need a few more budding gardeners to join us and help make this workshop happen!

Over two sessions, you’ll build your own awesome strawberry planter, or switch it up and make a herb planter instead. Perfect for getting your garden ready for spring and learning a few new power tool skills along the way.

Tuesday 8 & 15 September, 10am to 1pm

STOOL TIME!

Yep, you read that right. Tomorrow you can spend the day making your very own A-shape stool!

Choose your size, get stuck into some woodworking and learn how to use power tools along the way. You’ll start with a pile of timber and finish the day with something you can actually sit on. Pretty good trade-off!

No need to be a woodworking pro. Just bring yourself and a willingness to give it a go.

Zero Waste Week is here, and we’re all about those little changes that can make a big difference.

It doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Sometimes it’s as simple as reusing an old t-shirt, growing some herbs in a jar, or giving an old piece of furniture a bit of love instead of sending it to landfill.

That’s what we love about upcycling at The ReCreators. Taking something that might be heading for the rubbish and giving it a whole new life.

So this Zero Waste Week, have a look around your home and see what you could reuse, repair, regrow or re-create.

28 creative people, all ages, and so many awesome ideas!

Becs had a fantastic afternoon at Hub West for our Make It Yours sewing drop-in, where everyone got to decorate their own cap or bag. The different designs were amazing, and for some people it was their very first time trying sewing!

We love seeing people give something new a go and make it completely their own.

Thanks so much to Hub West (MPHS Community Trust) for having us, and a huge thank you to Foundation North for funding this workshop!

Plant of the Week: Oregano

Oregano is a hardy herb that’s easy to grow and packed with flavour. It’s perfect for adding to pizzas, pasta, salads and marinades.

It loves plenty of sun, doesn’t need much fuss and is a great plant for beginner gardeners.

Plus, its little flowers are loved by bees and other pollinators!
