The Lawton team had a fantastic time at the Blues v Crusaders match, 7 March 2026. Crowned by a skilful display and deserved win by the Blues, and celebrating with a Haka for Dalton on his 100th Super match. Our huge appreciation to Eden Park hospitality for the Corporate Box experience.

John has stepped down from the Auckland Exec Master Builders after 8 years on the board. Thanks Master Builders for the warm send off.

Auckland Master Builders - 27/05/2024
We recently acknowledged John Lawton, our longstanding executive Member who has stepped down from the executive team,
John has played a crucial role during his tenure on the executive, notably representing the commercial sector of our membership and serving as our branch's representative on the Vertical Leaders Group. This group comprises construction leaders aiming to advocate for improved contract conditions within the New Zealand construction industry.
John has exhibited exceptional leadership and governance, ensuring diligent oversight not only of the quality of our members' tangible work but also of their standards of professionalism and communication with clients.

Great fun last Sunday for our End of Year 2023 function at the Auckland Bowling Club. Gorgeous historic venue and a fabulous sunny day set the scene for our last staff and family get-together of the year. Wonderful attendance by all including two newbies - Toddlers, Ada and Alice - more Lawton's in the house. In order to protect the innocent - we have included only these two pics - one of the Auckland Bowling Club and a representation of the stunning award for Best Bowling Team won this year by Junior, Noel and Siaki - who got to select from the winners table and have bragging rights until the next event.

Merry Christmas to everyone - have a fun, safe summer break 🎄🌴🌺🌟🏄‍♀️🏊‍♂️🚣‍♀️🚴

Courtyard Cafe refresh
In a bit of a change for us ... we were delighted to help Juliet refresh her courtyard area with a new deck, showcasing her stunning orchid collection and Japanese inspired garden. She has chosen kwila decking timber and has decided to let it silver to match the existing façade.

After more than 40 years in the Auckland construction industry it's fantastic to say our managing director John Lawton is now a fully certified builder - or "Licensed Building Practitioner" to be precise .

He recently was awarded MBIE's LBP certification alongside some of our young builders also gaining the qualification.

Here at Lawton’s we’re big believers in striving to uphold top industry standards. We're also big believers that it's never too late to teach old dogs new tricks - or rather, it's never to late to gain official recognition for skills gained over a lifetime.

The Lawton crew enjoyed a stunning walk around Auckland's waterfront over the weekend for this year's Round the Bays event - followed of course by a cheeky sausage sizzle. Indy the office dog even made an appearance!
