A look at one of our recently completed commercial warehouse extensions in Auckland, taking the project from the early foundation stage right through to the finished build.

This extension forms part of Safety at Sea’s new service centre, providing the team with additional space and capacity to service and rig more boats across Auckland.

Great to see the finished space now up and running and supporting their growing marine operations.

Another transformation completed 👌

This project involved a full bathroom and laundry renovation, with a strong focus on making the most of a compact space while maintaining the character of the existing home.

One of the standout features was the installation of custom bifold concertina doors with a recessed bottom track set flush with the tiled floor. To seamlessly tie the new work into the existing home, we manufactured a custom Rimu jamb to match the original timber detailing.

The full-width opening allowed us to maximise every square metre of the laundry, creating space for a supertub, washing machine, custom cabinetry and a practical benchtop without compromising functionality.

Other features included:
▪️ Handcrafted feature floor tiles
▪️ Half-height tiling throughout the bathroom and laundry
▪️ New acrylic shower
▪️ Floating vanity with sensor-activated LED strip lighting
▪️ Extractor fans installed in both the bathroom and laundry
▪️ New cabinetry and storage solutions throughout

One of our favourite renovations from last year 👌

What started as a dated interior became a modern and highly functional living space packed with custom features.

The removal of the existing mezzanine floor required a structural girder to be installed. Instead of hiding it, we worked it into the design with a mitred negative detail and integrated strip lighting, creating a feature that became one of the highlights of the renovation.

Other features included:
▪️ Full bathroom renovation with floor-to-ceiling tiles
▪️ Flush tiled shower with channel drain
▪️ Custom birch plywood bunk beds with built-in drawers
▪️ New custom kitchen cabinetry with a sleek glass splashback
▪️ Feature lighting throughout
▪️ Thoughtful design details at every turn

It’s projects like these that remind us how good design, attention to detail and quality workmanship can completely transform a home. By carefully integrating structural requirements into the design and combining them with bespoke joinery and premium finishes, we were able to create a space that is both highly functional and visually striking. 🏡🔨

One of the earlier projects from when we first started out — a Kwila deck paired with a seamlessly Kwila-lined retaining wall, finished off with a sleek aluminium balustrade to define the space.

Built in the heart of Remuera, this project was all about clean lines, natural timber tones, and making the most of the site. We also reused existing outdoor lighting, giving it a second life and keeping the finish subtle and functional.

Looking back, it’s good to see how far we’ve come — but quality workmanship and attention to detail have always been the foundation.

When working with structural timber, always treat all cut ends where they’re exposed to the elements! These spots are often the weakest points, and if left unprotected, they’ll absorb moisture, leading to rot and early failure. Piles tops & stairs stringers are a must!

It’s the small things like this that takes minimal time and cost to do that will add years of life to your project. Choose a contractor that really cares & get in touch with us now.
