Second Nature was recently engaged by Rivercare Group Te Wai o Pareira to assist with the development of Tawa Esplanade.

This project has been a rewarding opportunity for our design team to be part of. Working on a non-residential site with such strong historical significance and connection to the local community presented a welcome and meaningful challenge.

This work was completed free of charge to help support a great team and their fantastic cause. We sincerely thank Rivercare Group Te Wai o Pareira for the opportunity to contribute to this important project.

We were also very fortunate to win the Premier Award for Maintain and a Gold Award in the Maintain - Up to 1500m² category for this stunning designed project.

The maintenance of this project is lead by our founder, Chris Ballantyne, who is assisted by Gareth, Craig, Deb and the maintenance team.

Made my day yesterday spotting plenty of Raparahas Copper/Mokarakare at our Pakiri Beach project. Restoring the dunescape ecology was one of the key drivers of this project. The restoration of the extensive Muehlenbeckia fields, both existing and planted provide crucial habitat for this little beauty.
