🚿💦 That little flexihose under your sink could be hiding a BIG problem!

Paddy Gower has been putting the spotlight on the humble flexihose — something we at Heron Plumbing know all too well can cause serious problems for homeowners when they fail!

Stuff.co.nz recently highlighted the issue with the headline, “The household pipe costing millions in damage each year.” And when you see the damage a failed flexihose can cause, it’s easy to understand why!

You’ll find flexihoses under your sinks, vanities and toilets, connecting your taps and fixtures to the water supply. They do their job quietly for years, but they don’t last forever.

As they get older, the stainless-steel braid can corrode, weaken or deteriorate. And when one finally gives way, it can release a LOT of water very quickly.

The worst part? It could happen while you're at work, asleep or away on holiday. 😬

👉 Take 30 seconds and check yours today!

Have a look under your sinks and vanities for:

🔎 Rust or discolouration
🔎 Bulging, kinks or obvious wear
🔎 Dampness or drips around the fittings
🔎 Flexihoses that are more than 5–10 years old
If you spot anything that doesn’t look right, don’t wait until it fails.

📞 Give the team at Heron Plumbing a call and we can check them over and replace them before a small maintenance job becomes a very expensive water-damage problem.

30 seconds of checking today could save you a whole lot of trouble tomorrow!

How a 30-second check under your sink could save you thousands in water damage
