We’re starting the year exactly how we love it - creating beautiful, functional spaces tailored to our clients.
Right now, we’re working on a stunning new kitchen for a classic 1920s villa, alongside custom wardrobes and a bathroom fit-out that blends style with everyday practicality.

🌲 NZ Rimu vs Pacific Rimu – Which Would You Choose? 🌲

Both timbers are popular in New Zealand interiors — and for good reason.

🇳🇿 NZ Rimu
Native hardwood often used in flooring, mouldings, and panelling. Available in three grades:
Heart (durable), Sap (non-durable), and Colour (a mix).
Rich in tone and character — ideal for renovations and restorations.

🌴 Pacific Rimu
Imported, with a similar colour and texture to NZ Rimu.
Versatile for interior finishing, especially where cost is a factor. Not naturally durable but still widely used in restoration work.

🪵 Both are great options for kitchens and bespoke furniture, and are available in solid timber or veneer, depending on your project needs.

So, when it comes to quality and look — what would you choose?

Should You Buy Appliances Before Designing Your Kitchen?
Short Answer: No.

It might seem logical to start with appliances—but doing so can create major design challenges, especially in smaller kitchens. Oversized appliances can crowd the space, disrupt the layout, and limit storage and functionality.

Pro Tip: Design your kitchen layout first. Once the flow and structure are in place, you can choose appliances that fit perfectly—both in size and style.

A well-planned kitchen isn’t just beautiful—it works smarter.

We were so excited to be back in a space we’ve worked in before, this time creating a beautiful new kitchen for one of our lovely returning clients. 💛

Designing in a smaller space always has its challenges, but with a little creativity (and a lot of love), we brought her Hamptons/coastal-inspired kitchen dream to life. Featuring classic shaker-style doors painted in the softest coastal hue, this light and airy space feels like a breath of fresh sea air.

FIREPLACE Mt Eden

Due to water damage, a full replacement of all timber panels was required for this existing fireplace. Replacing the existing panels with new American Oak Veneer, and finished off with a dark stain to bring out the natural grain.
