We are pleased to inform you that Optimum Plumbing, Gas & Heating will be returning to full capacity with the ability to perform ALL jobs including ‘Essential’ & ‘Non-Essential’ from Tuesday 28th April under alert Level 3.

We will continue to have strict health and safety protocols put in place for any work completed, as we have done for Level 4. This is to ensure that we keep our team and customers safe.

During level 3 we have a couple of operational requirements for you to be aware of:
- Checking the health status of our customers before we send our tradesman to your site.
- We will have a contact tracing system in place, this allows us to record where our staff have worked, how long they were there for and who they came into contact with while they were your site/ home.
- We will be implementing our Level 4 PPE to ensure the safety of our clients and staff, this includes a respirator, eye protection, full disposable coveralls, disposable gloves and disposable booties.
- Our tools will be cleaned after every job and social distancing of 2 metres will always be implemented.

Lockdown can be difficult for most... with many of our clients at home from work and have had the time to think about/ plan plumbing related improvements and maintenance issues.

WELL we are here to help with ‘Essential’ Plumbing, Gas & Heating jobs and what a better way to get the ball rolling by talking to our team via video or phone call with any projects or jobs you may want done post lock-down classified as 'Non Essential.'

This gives you the opportunity during lockdown to go over the job you would like done with Optimum Plumbing, Gas & Heating - it could be a leaking tap or bathroom renovation, but we are here to offer free advice and any recommendations on the job you would like undertaken. We can then provide a detailed estimate or quote via email.

Optimum Plumbing, Gas & Heating WILL be providing essential Plumbing, Gasfitting and Drain un-blocking services during the lock down.

Our response Plumbers and Gasfitters fit the relevant non self-isolation criteria and have been fully advised of the protocol and PPE requirements to keep us all safe during this time.

We have provided these employees with complete body protective equipment including overalls, respirator masks, eye protection and disposable gloves if required onsite.

If you require our services during this time please call me on 0211684913 and I will arrange this.Please do not be offended by questions that will be asked relating to the health and well-being of all persons self-isolating at the job location before we send someone out. We will also discuss the measures taken to keep our tradesmen and yourselves as safe as possible.

Information relating to what is currently being treated as essential works are detailed below.

Plumbing, gasfitting or drainlaying services if they are immediately needed to maintain human health and safety at home/work. Under this definition the services must:
1.Be needed to maintain human health and safety at home/work; and
2.That need must be Immediate.

Examples of the type of work that would come under this definition include:
• The repair/replacement of hot water cylinders that have failed as the hot water will be required for sanitation purposes.
• The unblocking and repair/replacement of sanitary waste pipes where there is an immediate threat to human health and safety.
• The repair/replacement of water pipes where there is an immediate threat to human health and safety.
• The repair/replacement of gas piping, fittings and appliance where there is an immediate threat to human health and safety.

Examples of the things that would not be included in that definition are:
• The repair of minor leaks.
• The replacement to tap washers.
• Routine servicing.
• The replacement of sanitary fixtures that are working.
