For this pool fence in Dairy Flat, we went with a faceted system rather than curved glass. The idea was to cut and miter each channel on an angle to suit the facets, then space all the panels evenly so the whole run reads as one consistent curve. It's the same look as curved glass, just a lot more cost effective.

From there it was about keeping things clean. The recessed PosiGlaze channel hides all the hardware for that frameless finish, and with multiple pool gates worked in around a pool with gradual beach entries, the result wraps the space nicely.

After recently being back on site with the Paramount Construction NZ team in Red Beach, it’s been good reflecting on how long we’ve all been working together now.

Since 2017, we’ve worked alongside each other on countless projects and have always shared a pretty similar approach when it comes to communication, organisation, high standards on site, and getting the right result for the homeowners.

Views this good shouldn't come with second thoughts.

At our recent Red Beach project, we used Sentry Laminated Glass, perfect for coastal properties like this. Made from two pieces of toughened safety glass laminated together with a stiff structural interlayer, it works perfectly for frameless balustrade systems.

Not only is it five times stronger and up to 100 times stiffer than conventional laminating materials, its added strength allows the system to remain fully compliant without the need for a top rail.

With that kind of strength, the glass becomes a far more structural part of the system, opening up design possibilities that traditional laminated glass simply can't achieve.

The end result keeps the views completely uninterrupted and works perfectly with the design of the home.
