We’re stoked to share that our Campbells Bay project is all wrapped up.

We’ve transformed this two-storey weatherboard home into a Cape Cod-style look, with a full re-roof, a new roof extension over the entry, and thermally broken double glazed windows throughout.

Inside, we added a new ensuite, made over three bathrooms, and put in a new kitchen with a scullery. One bathroom features a dusty pink tile and lighting feature, and the master bedroom has custom panelling.

We also upgraded the insulation, installed a new central heating and cooling system, updated the electrical, and completed a full internal paint.

We've been making exciting progress at our Parnell townhouses.

Since we were last on site, we've passed the framing inspection on the mid-level section and got the whole roof prepped. The seam and seal is now going on across the mid section and the pop-up roof, so that part of the build is really taking shape.

Next up, we're onto the timber remediation on the front elevation and getting that amendment submitted. We'll also have the deck area inspected so we can get the membrane installed.

Every older home has its quirks, and our 1970s Parnell renovation is no exception!

The steep roof pitches and ceilings make replacing all the joinery more involved than a standard swap. We're going through with thermally broken aluminium double glazing, insulating the raftered ceilings to H1 (they had none), and lining them in jib, which also lets us add proper lighting.

The trickier one is the triangular windows up high. We're pulling them out, running new lintels through, and squaring everything off with new cedar over the top to sort the weather tightness for good.

We're back in Parnell, this time getting stuck into a full renovation of a classic 70's home.

We're starting with full window replacements, swapping the old Cathedral windows out for flat windows to bring the whole place into line with a cleaner, more modern look. From there it's a new kitchen and a new bathroom, both built to suit how the owners actually live in the house.

We're also extending the deck to open up the outdoor space, and pulling the laundry out of the garage and back into the house where it belongs.
