100% on our latest SiteWise assessment! 🥇

Hardfell has renewed SiteWise Gold with a score of 100%, recognising the quality of our health and safety systems and the work that goes into maintaining them.

Working at height, managing large trees and operating around roads, infrastructure and the public takes careful planning, clear communication and a team that looks out for one another.

The larger contractors we work for set high expectations for health and safety. We’re committed to meeting those requirements and backing them up on site through regular inspections, team discussions, training and ongoing improvement.

A big thanks to Nick Finch for his guidance and support in helping us achieve this result. And a massive thanks to our team for putting those systems into practice every day.

Proud of the score. Committed to keeping everyone safe. 👊

Little details make a big difference up a tree 🌳👌

I love these tool strops from Singing Rock. They choke off perfectly around the handle of the Makita New Zealand 18V pruning shears, making it easy to clip them onto my harness and reduce the risk of dropping them out of the canopy.

The shears feel nicely balanced too. First impressions? Lighter, smaller and less cumbersome than the other pair we have. Looking forward to putting them to the test properly.

Even Oscar had a few snips to give them a try. Always happy to help with Dad’s tool testing 😂

Hardfell 🤝 Makita

Stoked to announce Makita has come on board as a sponsor of Hardfell! 🔧🌳

They’ve supplied us with gear to put through its paces on our jobs and give honest feedback on. We’ve been demoing their equipment over the past couple of weeks, and so far, we’ve been really impressed.

What’s stood out just as much as the gear is the people behind it. The Makita team have been responsive, keen to hear our thoughts, and already passed some of our feedback back to Japan, where they’re looking at possible changes.

They’ve also got some exciting things in the pipeline for their outdoor power equipment range. Plenty to look forward to there.

On the support side, they’ve told us repairs can be turned around within 48 hours, right here in Auckland. When your tools earn their keep every day, that sort of backup means a lot.

Big thanks to Josh and the Makita team for getting behind us, listening to the crew and taking our feedback seriously.

Looking forward to building the relationship and sharing how the gear goes out in the field. Expect some honest reviews along the way! 👊
