We hand-laid every stone here twice. The first time matters more than the second.
Before any mortar goes down, we lay the whole job out dry. Every piece sits where it’ll end up. Then we walk it, you walk it, and we shift what needs shifting.
Top three reasons we do it:
1. We sort the layout by eye before anything’s set. Colour variation, joint width, and pattern flow. We shift one, step back, shift another, until the joints flow and the colours sit right.
2. We check the pile before we touch it. Crazy paving needs big slabs, mid pieces, and small fillers. Wrong mix, wrong look. We sort the whole pallet at dry lay and make sure we're not short.
3. You sign off before we commit.
Walk the dry layout with us. Rustic spacing like the one in the photo, or tight formal grout lines. Choose the look while we can still move things.
