This one had the boys thinking as we used our shotcrete system to create a functional appealing retaining wall for the client, working in tight spaces and uneven ground levels made it even more interesting

Last push to complete the pack house slab for our friends at Mt Erin. 2am start with bridgies, AMC pump, screed loaned by The Concrete People and Hardcore on the ride ons. Cheers everyone for an awesome day bring in the weekend and some sleep

We are unbelievably proud to complete this project for HDC and hand it over just in time for Matariki, another beautiful space for the people of Hastings to enjoy

This Friday (June 20), the community is invited to a dawn rededication ceremony for Ngā Pou o Heretaunga, marking their return from marae to Civic Square following restoration.

In February, the pou were uplifted and returned to their marae for their first collective check and restoration work since they were first unveiled in 2013.

An initial 18 pou were carved by tohunga whakairo of marae across Heretaunga and installed in Civic Square. A 19th pou was gifted in 2017 by the Queen of Rarotonga, Pā Ariki, symbolising the strong connection between Ngāti Kahungunu and the Takitumu region of Rarotonga.

On the day:
Assemble at Albert Square from 6.15am
Karanga begins 6.30am
Karakia, waiata, kōrero and kai to follow
All are welcome. Please dress warmly.

The pou are complemented by new landscaping and maintenance of Civic Square, including the replacement of the 50-year-old pavers which had become a safety risk.
