Being licensed is the baseline. For anything complex, it matters more.
Solar, EV chargers, battery systems aren't standard wiring jobs. You've got high-voltage DC, grid interconnection, protection settings that need to be right and sitting there for 20+ years. If it's done poorly the problems don't show up straight away, but they're costly when they do.
Most of what we see come back to install quality, not the gear.
If you're getting any of this work done, ask who's actually doing it, what hands-on experience they have, and how they're handling protection and compliance.
