Monday morning.
60 minutes running the Mangawhai Cliffs. Just me, the ocean, and some quiet time to reflect on the week that’s been and think about the week ahead.
Friday marked the completion of 75 Hard for the second time.
It’s no longer a challenge for me. It’s a standard. A standard I’ve decided to carry forward every year, discipline, consistency and doing the things you said you would do, especially when you don’t feel like it.
Then Saturday night was about celebrating.
Our team came together at the Master Builders House of the Year Awards, and we were incredibly proud to take home a Gold for our Ocean View house. 🥇
Even more special was having our client there to celebrate with us.
What started as a client relationship has become a genuine friendship, and we’re fortunate enough to be building with them again.
The words they shared with me and our team on the night were some of the kindest I’ve ever received. Words I’ll never forget.
They reminded me that construction is about so much more than building beautiful homes.
It’s about trust.
It’s about relationships.
It’s about the people you bring together.
And ultimately, it’s about doing work you can be proud to put your name on.
Those words were a powerful reminder that we’re on the right path.
So this morning, after celebrating the wins, I’m back on the beach.
Reflect. Reset. Refocus.
Grateful for our clients.
Grateful for our team.
Grateful for the opportunity to keep learning, improving and building something special.
The standard is set.
Now we go again.
Have a great week 🙌
