📢 Lower Hutt gas outage update 📢
Powerco's crews worked into the night to restore gas supply following damage to a gas pipeline by a third-party contractor.
Around 120 properties had their gas supply restored overnight, and our teams are continuing restoration efforts today to the remaining approximately 320 properties.
To safely restore gas supply, the technicians need access to properties to carry out safety checks and relight gas appliances.
If you are not home when crews visit, they’ll leave information on how to arrange a return visit.
We appreciate it’s been chilly overnight and it’s a real inconvenience to be without gas. Thank you for your patience and understanding while this work continues.
