You were right then..I am the one who dis agree your thesis that your students suffered , cried and did not able to graduate just because of your so called "THESIS".I have so many ojts that undergo in my Company and sad to say that your university fails good students.I hope it is an eye opener of your University .Thesis is not the basis that u fail a student.Just my opinion.

Imagine regular ka from 1st year until 4th year, pero dahil sa thesis na ’yan, na-delay ka kaya sa ibang school mo na lang natapos yung degree mo. And right now, topnotcher ka, and yung school na ’yon ang may bragging rights kasi doon ka nag-graduate. Pero yung school na nagturo sa’yo from freshman year hanggang senior year… uhm, siguro may pagsisi? Kimmy.
That is the reality that some students from that department have experienced. Aside from those who become irregular because of failed major subjects, thesis talaga ang nagiging malaking factor sa delay for some students.
I appreciate that there are now efforts to address it. May mga students din who eventually chose to transfer to another school because of thesis-related delays.
So imagine, thesis na lang ang babalikan mo, pero kailangan mo pang magpa-extend, when technically, you are already at the final stretch of your degree.
Right now, I see an effort from that department by allowing students to have OJT kahit wala pang outline. Tumaas man ang kilay ng iba dahil bakit i-allow, I appreciate how the department chair wanted to challenge the status quo and inilaban talaga na maka-OJT ang mga irregular students kahit wala pang outline, given na matatapos naman nila within the semester yung outline before conducting the actual thesis work.

Sabi niya, whether successful ka man sa thesis mo or not, it should still be treated as thesis. If you failed, thesis pa rin iyon.
Pero sana, hindi rin ito maging dahilan para ma-delay nang sobra ang students, because your entire college journey should not be dictated by your thesis.
Sana, since may mga bagong improvements na rin ang school, like allowing group thesis, magtuloy-tuloy na ang efforts to make the process more manageable for students.
We understand that the goal is to enable students to conduct research that can contribute to the community. We also understand the importance of maintaining academic standards. But I hope the system can also recognize that thesis should be a culmination of a student's learning, not a barrier that prevents them from reaching their goals in life.
