♥️ It’s time for a Wednesday wink, and mine literally showered over me today. So grateful for the rain to help me keep up with all the jobs to get the garden center ready to open and the deliveries going out.

🌸 Have you driven by and seen the torch planters yet this summer? This one is my FAVORITE statement combo for 2026.

Sometimes our vision come to life. Sometimes they are meh. This one???? It DELIVERED!

You could do this same combination closer to the ground and have a great impact! It would be a lot easier to water and fertilize closer to the ground! 😂 Just make sure your container is a large one to support it through the whole season!

🌿 Sunday Confession…

I really like a roadmap.

I like knowing where I’m going, what the next step is, and having a few clearly marked off-ramps in case I change my mind. 😂

But lately, I’ve been in a season where I don’t have the roadmap. And if I’m being honest, I don’t love the unknown.

I’m learning that sometimes God doesn’t give us the whole plan. Sometimes He just gives us the next step.

And maybe my job isn’t to know exactly where I’m going. Maybe it’s to trust the One who does.

Plants don’t get a roadmap either. 🌱 They grow where they’re planted, reach for the light, and trust the Gardener knows what He’s doing.

So if you’re in a season where you’re having to rely more, surrender more, and trust God with your days than you’re used to… you’re not alone.

You don’t have to have it all figured out today. You don’t have to see the whole path. Just keep taking the next step He puts in front of you.

Maybe the uncertainty isn’t a sign that you’re lost.

Maybe it’s an invitation to trust.

🌱 Mission shade 2026 continues, and this one is my favorite and involves another “sleeper” in the spring.

The Pegasus begonia is one that doesn’t look like much when it starts out, but it quickly starts putting on height and larger leaf size when put in the larger container…..and it is showing off by mid summer. Even better? It loves the dense shade spaces!!! Pair it up with some fun color of the Persian shield and impatiens or a begonia, and you are SET!

🌸 Some plants are what I refer to as “sleepers” on our benches in the spring. They look fine, but most people walk by them UNLESS they know what they turn into. The Surefire begonias are one of those sleepers, and the rose color is one of my favorites!

🌸🌸 It hurt some of you to see the hard trim we did in these a few weeks ago, 😂 but now they are ready for the rest of the season and are going to be so great!!

If you missed the window this year….or needed to see it before you made the jump, mark your calendars for next season. The end of July, first of August is a perfect time for a size reset on your Supertunia baskets if they need one!

🌱🌱 One of my favorite perennial pairings that is shining this time of year.

They have so much interest, the pollinators love them……and my other favorite part about them is that leading up to the time that they shine, they look nice and not yuck.

That means they are plants that look good for three months and then great for one….and then we’re almost to the end of the season. They’re oh so good!

🍁 Fall is sneaking up on us, which means it’s almost mum season!

For the past several years we’ve loved delivering big, beautiful mums right to people’s doorsteps, and we are taking reservations for them starting TODAY!

Mums are $25 and will come in a 10”/11” landscaper grower pot.

If you have gotten them from us in the past, you know they are BIG and beautiful!

Color choices are -Lavender - Burgundy - Yellow - White - Rust

We’re planning on deliveries the weekend of September 13 throughout Story County communities including Ames, Story City, Gilbert, Kelley, Huxley, Slater, and Cambridge. We may also be able to accommodate Polk City, Elkhart, and Alleman.

If you’d like to reserve yours, just send us a message to start the process!

Quantities and color choices are limited, so reserving early will give you the best selection.

Isn’t this combination sooooo pretty. It’s not mine but showed up on my feed. If you’re a purple lover, this one is so good!

Containers at the entryway to the Grand Champion Building at the Wisconsin State Fair . The plants weren’t labeled but it looks like a combination of Supertunia Vista® Violet Star, Angel Wings® Senecio and Color Blaze Dark Star Coleus.
